Hengst Filtration Opens Site in Balș, Romania

The new plant gives the filtration specialist more flexibility in production and a new home for filters for cleaning equipment and power tools.

The Balș plant, which covers up to 15,000 square meters, will primarily produce filters for the 'Filtration for Home and Profession' sector, i.e. for cleaning appliances and power tools in the private and professional sectors.

Hengst Filtration has opened a new site in Balș, Romania, and is now represented in a total of 13 countries. The German filtration specialist has thus added another building block in its production chain. The Balș plant, which covers up to 15,000 square meters, will primarily produce filters for the "Filtration for Home and Profession" sector, i.e. for cleaning appliances and power tools in the private and professional sectors.

"We have found a great production building in Balș that we were able to quickly adapt to our needs," says Hengst CEO Christopher Heine. "We expect to have more flexibility in production in Balș, especially for products with smaller quantities. Balș is therefore another example of our transformation from an automotive supplier to a filtration specialist in many areas."

The site in the Oltenia region is managed by General Manager Florin Toma. "We have already recruited a large number of motivated and experienced colleagues and aim to employ 100 people by the end of the year," adds Toma.
